ACTING as Transformation

LAB  ·  In-Person Full Day  ·  Everyone

You don't need to know how to act.
You need to remember how to be.

Something in you knows there's more.

About

A space to be as you are

Each one of us is unique. That's where we start. No right method, no single way — only what works for you.

Trust the process: Voice — finding your own. Body — how you take up space. Text — how it becomes yours. Listening — practising active listening.

We build together and at the end of the day, a showing of what remained. No pressure. No performance.

Stop acting and start being.

Sofia Fröes
Guided by Sofia Fröes
Artist · 30+ years of practice · Acting as Transformation

She has played Tchekhov, Pinter, Shakespeare. Performed in concert halls, recording studios, theatres, cinema. She danced. She moved. She inhabited hundreds of characters on hundreds of stages.

And then she went deeper — into breath, body, silence, and the places most people avoid. Not as a method. As a necessity.

Alongside the stage, she has accompanied people through their own return. She is not a practitioner. She is someone who did the work herself — and who sees you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need acting or theatre experience?
No. This laboratory is not about learning to act — it's about returning to yourself. We use the tools of the actor to do exactly the opposite: to let go of the character. To access presence, expression and your true voice. You don't need to know anything. Just show up.
Is this for actors or non-actors?
Both — and everyone in between. We've had actors looking for a more embodied approach, and people who've never been on a stage in their lives. The tools are the same. What each person brings is different.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothing for movement. Something to write with if you want. Water. Nothing else is needed. We send detailed information after confirmation.
How does the selection process work?
After you apply, we read your message carefully. We get in touch personally — not with an automated reply. We want to understand who you are and where you are right now. Spots are limited because individual work matters.
Will I be asked to perform or present anything?
No. There is no audience. There is no performance. Everything that happens in the room stays in the room. The only invitation is to be present — in whatever way that means for you on that day.

One day. Small group.

Applications close June 16th.
