Sofia Fröes

Story

Most people don't know what they've lost.
They think the performance is who they are.

Sofia Fröes sees what's underneath.

Trained as an actress at Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, with 30+ years of embodied practice – theatre, cinema, television, voice, movement, meditation, holotropic breathwork, active listening, silence – she developed something that can't be taught in a course. A way of seeing. Of listening. Of knowing where the conditioning lives in a body.

In her work, text, voice, and body are not the destination.
They are the way in.

She doesn't tell you who you are. She goes there with you.

This is not coaching. Not therapy.
It is a return to your own freedom of expression – which is a return to yourself.

From Sofia

From an early age, I have seen beyond what is visible. Not just who someone appears to be in a given moment. But what remains untouched beneath it all.

The part hidden beneath the layers life asks us to wear. The masks. The roles we learn to play. The protections we build. The fears we carry. The stories we tell ourselves in order to survive.

I have always seen beyond those things. I see the essence. The strength. The voice before it is heard. The potential before it takes shape. The possibility that still exists, even when the person themselves can no longer see it.

Perhaps that is why people often tell me I see the world differently. Not because I am blind to pain. Or loss. Or the scars life leaves behind. I see them all. But I also see what none of those things could erase.

The part that remains. Quietly waiting. Ready to reveal itself.

"You are not a voice teacher. To describe you that way is too reductive. You accompany processes of liberation – through voice, through body, through presence. What you do is return to each person their freedom of expression. And that is everything."

There is a version of you that existed before you started performing. Before the roles. Before the masks you learned to wear so well you forgot they were masks.

Acting as you are

The Lab

In-person · Full day
On Stage

You know your text.
You've prepared everything.
And then you walk into the room – and you're gone.

Not because you're not good enough.
Because you're not there.

The audition is not won by who prepared the most.
It's won by who is most present in the room.

Presence. Listening. Letting go of control without losing the ground. Being in the scene instead of watching yourself perform it.

Active listening. Text that becomes yours. Body available. Voice free.

You don't need to be more.
You need to be here.

Live it. Don't perform it.

Off Stage

You don't think of yourself as a performer. But you know the feeling.

The moment before you speak in a meeting and your mind goes blank. The presentation where you knew everything – and your body forgot. The conversation where you wanted to say something real – and something rehearsed came out instead.

It's not nerves.
It's disconnection.
Head in one place. Body in another.

Voice. Breath. Body. Presence.
Not as techniques to learn – as things you already have and stopped trusting.

You don't need to perform better.
You need to stop performing altogether.

Come as you are.

The Return

1:1 · 3 months · Online

There are moments in life when something needs to change – but it has no name yet. Moments of pressure, of visibility, of deep transition. Moments when the person you were is no longer enough, and the person you are becoming has not yet fully arrived.

The Return is a 1:1 process – discreet, deeply individual, built around who you are and what you are moving through. It is not therapy. It is not coaching. It is a creative and human process, led by someone who sees beyond what is visible – and who knows how to hold the space for what needs to emerge.

The process honours who you are, your path, your history. The script is made for you – listening, presence, and movement towards what already exists within you.

If you feel this process is for you, write.
A conversation commits to nothing – but it may change everything.

Something in you already knows.

Those who showed up

"Sofia has a rare quality of listening. She understands who you are and where you are. And takes you somewhere you never thought you could reach. I did things I had only ever dreamt of before."

– Lara

"Returning to myself. That is what I felt. A reunion with my own truth. This mentorship achieved more than years of technical training ever had."

– James

"If there is one thing that defines what Sofia does – it is returning to each person the freedom of expression. This may sound like a small thing the first time you hear it. But to return to someone the freedom of expression is to return to them the possibility of truly being themselves – fully and without condition. And that is a beauty without end."

– Karla
